Disable SIP ALG on Thompson Technicolor Router

Disable SIP ALG on Thompson Technicolor Router

Important: The Technicolor router is prone to re-enabling SIP ALG at random and as such is not supported by Eclipse. This guide is simply to provide a temporary solution for testing purposes or to assist a customer in the short term until a replacement router can be provided.

This guide will provide information on how to disable SIP ALG on a Thompson Technicolor router.

  1. Open Telnet

  2. Type “open” and press enter. If this doesn’t work it means that the default IP address for the router has been changed and the customer will need to contact their IT support to gain access.

  3. Type in the username and password. The default username and password is:

Username: Administrator (case sensitive)

Password: blank (no password)

  1. Type “connection unbind application=SIP port=5060” and press enter

  2. Type “saveall” and press enter

  3. Type “exit” and press enter
